Winter Skipped Us....

I feel like winter literally skipped over us this year. Yah, we had a few cold days here and there, but nothing like a normal Rexburg winter. Lately we have been wearing shorts and a t-shirt.... even though it's only like... 45 degrees. It's funny how that works out. When it is 45 degrees in the fall, everyone is shivering, complaining, and layering with coats. When it is 45 degrees in the spring, suddenly everyone is shedding layers saying how beautiful it is!

Taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine we have been getting, Bryce, Stuart, Spencer and I decided to hike up R Mountain. It's a pretty easy quick hike. It was fun being able to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. I even got a little tan on my face!

Here we are at the top of the mountain.

Stuart peering over the edge....DON'T FALL!!! :)

Oh great... there he goes....

And here is Spencer's epic picture.

And last but not least... Bryce and me :)

It's About Time... Wedding!

So, I meant to blog about my wedding a long time ago, but then I wanted to wait for the edited pictures before I posted. But by the time I got the pictures, I forgot that I didn't already blog about my wedding. Anyway, long story short, now that Bryce and I have been married for 6 months, I thought I would finally post some pictures!

First and foremost, the temple ceremony was beautiful. The sealer was so sweet and funny, and the spirit was so strong. It was such an amazing experience having so many family members in the temple with us. I wish that everyone could have the same experience.

After the ceremony, we had our dinner with all our family at Craigos, and then Bryce and I stayed the night in Idaho Falls. Our hotel room was themed, so we actually stayed in VENICE! :)

The next day was our reception. I can honestly say that I haven't seen such a pretty reception in such a long time. Thanks to so many friends and family (Mom, Paula, Suzann, Meiken, Peggy, Shauna, Beth) for making it so perfect!

When people arrived, the first thing they saw were these cute lanterns, leading them to the wedding line.

Here is the big tent we rented. It was magical!

Inside the tent were these lanterns. I love them!

Every little part of the tent was so beautifully decorated, including the legs of the tent.

For the food, we had cookies (made mostly by my mom and decorated by Kathy)....

.... and ice cream, catered by Sub Zero. They made the ice cream right there at the reception using liquid nitrogen! SOOO COOOL!!!

Although I didn't serve the cake at the reception, we had one for decoration. It was made by Betty and decorated by Alesha. Isn't it just beautiful?

Here is a glimpse of our rings.

There was one of these for each guest. Great idea, mom!

We had to get a picture with our amazing friends. I wish they all could have been there!

My family....

...and Bryce's family...

...And my cute niece, Hailey!

Oh and my dress was absolutely amazing. I was going to wear the same dress that Kim and Mandi wore at their weddings, but we couldn't alter it to fit right. I was still going to wear it anyway, but my amazing sister, Kim, decided that she wanted to buy me my own dress, so that i would feel beautiful on my wedding day. Thank you so much, Kim. I really did feel like a princess.

Then on to a few bride and groom pics. Enjoy!

Eternal Valentine

I loved Valentine's Day this year! It was such a wonderful thing knowing that I was spending Valentine's Day with my eternal valentine :) We ended up celebrating Valentine's Day a few days late because of homework. We went to Famous Daves for dinner in Idaho Falls (thanks mom and dad!) and we also went sledding to celebrate!

This was my gift to Bryce. With these nerf guns, there was a tag that said:
Howdy partner! What are the chances I have a "shot" at being your Valentine?

And these beautiful flowers were Bryce's gift to me. I LOVE THEM! They are even still alive and beautiful a week later!

Duct Tape Flowers

When Bryce and I were in Pendleton last summer, our nieces taught us how to make duct tape flowers. So, the other day when Kenton told us he wanted to do something crafty with his date, we knew the perfect activity!
Here are our creations!

Here is Kenton and his date, Meredith.

A New Couch

This is the couch that Bryce and I bought before we got married. It was $150 on Craigslist. It was a nice couch, but.....

...we were super stoked when Jason and Alesha decided to get a new couch, and they told us that they would give us their old one. I WAS SO EXCITED!!! With a bunch of help from all our family members, we got it up to Rexburg just a few short weeks later. I love my new couch! It is so comfy... and it can fit all our friends on it when we have movie nights!!! :) Thanks Jason and Alesha for the couch! and Thanks Jason and Deloy for getting it to us here in Rexburg!

Sometimes in Life....

Sometimes in life, people think you are someone that you are not. And sometimes in life, that person is VERY convinced that you are someone else.......

Bryce and I went to the temple this morning, and had a very funny moment as we were headed back to the dressing rooms. A temple worker couple pulled us aside, suggesting they knew Bryce. This is how the conversation went.

Man: Brother Call! Oh my, you look just like your father.

Woman: No! He looks just like his mother!

Bryce: You know my parents?

Man and Woman in unison: Yah! We are the Bragues! (their last name)

Bryce: OOOHHHH........ (he didn't recognize the name but thought they must be someone he should know...)

Man: (seeing that we weren't quite convinced that we knew them) Your dad and I worked at Provo High together.

Me: (To Bryce) Your dad was a teacher?

Bryce:.... uh.... nooo........

Man: OH YES!!! He was the orchestra director, and I was the band director....

Bryce: haha uh, I don't think that was my dad...

Man: You were just too young to remember.

Bryce: Uh, maybe....

Woman: We wanted to come to your wedding, but we couldn't make it. We were in Hawaii.

Beki: Oh fun.....( awkward pause....)

Bryce: Well, it's good to meet you!.... I'm glad we ran into each other!......

Anyway. With a smile and a wave, we left them, assuming we couldn't convince them that Bryce's dad wasn't an orchestra teacher at Provo High. Oh my goodness. Bryce and I both laughed about it all morning (and still laughing :)

Bryce called his dad to make sure he was never an orchestra teacher at Provo High, and confirmed that he didn't know anyone with the last name of Brague..... It's comical just thinking about Bryce's dad conducting an orchestra.... instead he is a computer guy at HP.... haha. This funny moment made my day!

When Life Gives You Blankets and Cool Friends...

Bryce and I had a fun double date with Rebekah and Stuart yesterday. We started off the evening by making dinner together (pasta and salad) and then we headed around campus to enjoy some art (also to help Bryce and Stuart with some homework :). Then we went to Fat Cats and spent $2 per couple on the arcade games. Whoever got the most tickets won! Becca and Stuart won the ticket competition, but Bryce and I totally kicked trash in the ski-ball competition! Then, to finish the evening, we came back to our apartment and built a fort.

Here is Becca and Stu inside the fort:)

And Bryce and me....
Inside the fort we had chocolate fondue! We had strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, and for some extra fun, we also made blueberry muffins. It was so yummy!!

Inside our fort, we took turns telling one line of a story. The story happened to be about the four of us. We were in Guatemala when we got attacked by flying monkeys.... anyway... the story was hilarious!

What a fun night! I will always love this memory!
